Jalna engaged Quality Energy to investigate faltering equipment problems in their packaging manufacturing division, Jalplas Pty Ltd.
High harmonic currents was detected in the factory's power system, which was causing machinery malfunction.
Faltering equipment problems were causing production shutdowns.
Quality Energy team conducted an electrical data monitoring and analysis in early September 2020. We found that high harmonic currents in the factory’s power system was causing machinery malfunction. We installed and programmed a 200Amp Active Harmonic Filter.
The Problem

Project Outcomes
This project ensures Jalna’s packaging plant has a stable supply of of power to prevent equipment problems and production shutdown.
The Benefit
The installation of an Active Harmonic Filter dramatically reduced the Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) and individual harmonic orders. Jalna is now able to improve its packaging plant’s uptime and prevent machine malfunction issues due to high harmonic voltages.
