3 YearsProject overview
Quality Energy have a long and proud history working at Newscorp’s major print centres around the country. As soon as Energex changed the demand tariffs in South East Queensland, we helped identify the large savings on offer for the business.
Newscorp’s Brisbane Print Centre had their tariff changed which meant that Energex started penalising them for having a poor power factor.
The result was a significant increase in Newscorp’s power costs.
We analysed Newscorp’s electricity account. This helped us determine that they required over 3,500 kVar of capacitor banks over six substations in order to achieve the required Power Factor which would maximise their power savings.
