Townsville, Queensland and Clayton South, Victoria
As a current Power Factor Correction client and to further reduce their carbon footprint as well as their electricity costs, Arctic Ice approached Quality Energy to design and install a commercial solar PV system for their manufacturing plant in Townsville, Queensland, and to increase the amount of solar capacity on their Clayton South, Victoria plant.
After reviewing electricity bills, roof sizes and structures and analysing feasibility, we installed a 3964kW solar PV system on the site in Townsville consisting of 72 Risen Energy 550W panels and 1 Sungrow 29.9kW inverter and an additional 46.48kW to the Clayton South site consisting of 112 Ulica Mono Half-Cut 415W panels to match the current system panels.
The estimated annual production will be 63,700kWh and 57,381kWh respectively, resulting in a combined total of 81.3 Tonnes of CO2 emissions avoided each year. This is equivalent to the carbon sequestered by planting 1345 tree seedlings and growing them for 10 years.
