There are many questions about Solar Panels and how does Solar Power help your business to improve energy efficiency. Here you can find the most common questions we get. Quality Energy is here to answer your queries about commercial solar. If your question is not listed below, please do not hesitate to contact our team and we would be happy to assist.
Solar power is the technology used to convert energy from sunlight into electricity, either directly using photovoltaics (PV), indirectly using concentrated solar power, or a combination. Solar panels convert the energy from sunlight into direct current (DC) electrical energy. An inverter unit changes this into alternating current (AC) for your commercial building's electrical circuits. This power can be used to power your home or business premises, stored in a battery for later use, or fed back into the grid to offset your power bill.
By using the energy created from the sun, you are reducing your business’ reliance on energy providers for fossil-fuel-generated energy. Not only will you be protecting your business against rising energy prices, but you are also producing energy that is better for the environment.
As the solar PV industry has matured, the cost of a turn-key solar PV system has dramatically reduced. When combined with the current government rebate schemes, it is wise to invest in solar panels, rather than continuing to absorb the rising cost of electricity.
A solar power system reduces your need to purchase energy from retailers, therefore protecting your business against future energy price rises. Any unused power generated from the system can be stored in the battery for later use, or you can feed the excess energy back into the grid to access government incentives such as feed-in tariffs.
Not necessary. Many factors such as the orientation of your roof, the quality and output of the solar panels, and your energy consumption during the day will affect the amount of savings. If you consume a lot of energy during the day, a bigger system will be optimal for savings.
No solar power solution retailer or solar installer can guarantee how much savings your power bill is without conducting a proper site inspection. So, it’s important to ensure your chosen solar panel systems provider and solar panel installer conduct a thorough site visit, before you sign off on your solar panel system installation.
Individual saving results will vary, depending on factors that are unique to each business and premise. Quality Energy designs your Solar PV system using state-of-the-art software and we conduct a site inspection to consider factors such as roof orientation and shading.
We aim to deliver the maximum return on your investment that suits your budget and energy consumption needs while keeping your payback period to a minimum.
The final price of your Solar PV system is calculated based on a range of factors such as government incentives, type and number of panels, brand and material, system size and accessibility of the roof. Contact our Power Solutions Consultant for a no-obligation quote today.
Since 1989, Quality Energy has been helping businesses solve the challenge of unreliable power supply and rising energy costs. We are not only a NETCC Approved Solar Seller, we also design, manufacture, commission and maintain a range of energy efficiency equipment such as Power Factor Correction, Active Harmonic Filter etc.
It depends on your budget, system size and your energy consumption. Quality Energy will provide recommendations and optimise your Solar PV system to deliver the best value and performance.
A Feed in Tariff is the rate paid for electricity generated by your Solar PV system which you export back to the grid. In your quote, Quality Energy will calculate the potential savings you can make by exporting back to the grid.
Small-Scale Technology Certificates (STCs) are a government incentive to reduce the upfront cost of your solar PV system. The total amount of subsidy is dependent upon the location, system size and price of STCs at the time of installation.
The Solar for Business rebate is a Victorian Government incentive scheme where eligible businesses can apply for a rebate of $3500 to install a solar panel system, with the option to take advantage of an interest-free loan up to $5000.
Please note the Solar for Business Program ended on 30 June 2023. Rebates and interest-free loan are no longer available under this program. For more information and the latest on solar rebates, please visit the Solar Victoria website.
In a market flooded with sub-par solar panels and inverters, Quality Energy sources our solar panels from premium quality, Tier-1 manufacturers that are tested to Australian quality standards and approved by the Clean Energy Council and NETCC.

Members of the program are committing to uphold the high standards set by the NETCC when it comes to marketing, installing, and providing after-sale services to customers.
