Screen shot of solar and BESS performance for March and photos of solar PV system
Our Partners at The EnergyAlliance requested a solar and storage proposal for Challenger Services Group, and Quality Energy was thrilled to be awarded the project.
Sizing the solution was an important requirement for the business and, with the switchboard at the front door, our team had to find a suitable location for the battery as the request was to install it away from the office space.
After analysis of the electricity bills and interval data, Quality Energy determined that a 13.2kW solar PV system was the most suitable solution.
The BESS was installed in the factory area, requiring bollard protection and 35 metres of cabling to the MSB.
The new solar PV system is expected to generate 15,612kWh annually, equivalent to planting 173 tree seedlings and avoiding 10.5 Tonnes of CO2 emissions. With an impressive 71% ROI, the combined solar and battery system is delivering outstanding results.
For the month of March this year, production was 1.03MWh and consumption was 1.07MWh. Only 179kWh was drawn from the grid. An incredible success story.
