The Problem

The busy shopping centre location meant an additional challenge of having to ensure scheduled power outages happened outside of business hours. This reduces disruptions to existing services and the centre's operation.

The Solution

Quality Energy installed a high-efficiency 120kW three-phase EV charger and an accompanying switchboard for Gawler shopping centre. Hydro excavation was also preferred to minimise damage to existing services, and MSB work was completed outside of business hours.

Gawler Homemaker Centre's new 120kW dual charger provides efficient charging for electric vehicles. The distribution board also prevents overloading the building's capacity, avoiding any outages. This initiative enhances the shopping centre's environmental credentials and puts it on the public EV charger map, attracting users to charge and spend at the centre.
