The Problem

This project faced challenges due to the busy shopping centre location. Any scheduled power outages had to be managed around operating hours to minimise downtime and disruption to the shopping centre's operation.

The Solution

Quality Energy installed a 120kW EV charger and a distribution board to manage the additional load efficiently. Electrical work on the main switchboard was done outside of business hours to ensure the power outage doesn't affect business. The hydro excavation was done to reduce damage to existing services.

The Moana Heights Shopping Centre has installed a 120kW dual charger which provides efficient charging for electric vehicles. The distribution board also prevents overloading the building's capacity, avoiding any outages. This initiative enhances the shopping centre's environmental credentials and puts it on the public EV charger map, attracting users to charge and spend at the centre.
