The Problem
For over 20 years, Quality Energy has been providing low voltage and high voltage Power Factor Correction equipment, and seriving, maintaining and repairing our own, as well as some third-party equipment they have, to a number of Visys facilities along the east coast of Australia.
When we first met with Visy, they had old, ineffective capacitor banks and equipment used in their manufacturing and recycling processes were causing power quality issues and disruptions, such as overheating in their main switchboards and harmonics in their power systems.
The Solution
Quality Energy has custom designed and installed Power Factor Correction (PFC) equipment totalling a massive 26.65MVAr.
We have also custom designed and installed Active Harmonic Filters (AHF) for one of the sites.
