19.8kW commercial solar PV system
Zambrero opened a new store in Preston, Victoria and wanted to generate their own clean, green energy instead of buying it all from a retailer.
Our partners at The Energy Alliance contacted us to request a proposal.
A lot of obstacles on the roof, including HVAC, signage and other services, had to be taken into consideration when designing the system.
As this was a new business, electricity bills were not available to
calculate and size the system accordingly.
Quality Energy was given a consumption estimate and used that, and the available roof space, to design and install a 19.8kW solar PV system.
The new system is made up of 45 x 440W Risen Energy N-Type panels and 1 x Sungrow Power 20kW inverter.
The new solar PV system is estimated to produce 23,831kWh of renewable energy annually.
Calculations show solar will supply 97% of the power used onsite
annually and provide a 46% saving on their electricity bills and Internal Rate of Return of 26.3%.
This equates to avoiding 16 Tonnes of CO2 and is equivalent to planting 265 tree seedlings and growing them for 10 years.
